2. Detailed Data Collection & Processing
A. Device Identifiers & Advertising Data (Collected & Shared)
- Advertising Identifiers: We integrate mobile advertising SDKs from Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network (Facebook Ads). These services collect and process mobile device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / GAID) to serve relevant advertisements, frequency-cap ad views, detect ad fraud, and report campaign performance.
- Push Notification Tokens: With your permission, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) collects an anonymized device registration token to deliver push notifications, scan completion alerts, and helpful productivity updates.
B. Approximate Location (Collected & Shared)
- Snaply AI and our advertising partners (Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network) may derive approximate (coarse, network-level) location information from your IP address. This data is collected and shared with ad networks solely to serve regionally relevant ads (e.g., ads in your country or language) and for aggregated analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.
C. Photos & Camera Data (Ephemeral Processing Only)
- Ephemeral AI Processing: When you capture a photo with your camera or select an image from your gallery for AI analysis (such as food nutrition breakdown, document OCR, plant diagnosis, math equations, skin checks, or code translation), the image is transmitted securely over an encrypted TLS 1.3 connection to our AI analysis backend.
- Zero Permanent Storage: Images are processed in transient, volatile memory solely to generate real-time AI results. Once the AI analysis response is returned to your device, the image data is immediately discarded.
- No Advertiser Sharing & No Public Training: Your photos are never shared with third-party advertisers (such as Google AdMob or Meta) and are never used to train public generative AI models.
- User Control: Image scanning is strictly optional. You choose when and what to scan.
D. Personal Information & User Accounts
- Email Address & Name: If you sign in via Google Sign-In or email, we collect your name and email address to manage your account, authenticate sessions, and sync your favorite items across devices. You can also choose to use the app in Guest Mode without sharing an email or name.
- User IDs: We assign an internal unique user identifier (managed via Supabase) to associate your subscription entitlements, daily scan quotas, and saved preferences. This identifier is never shared with third-party advertising partners.
E. Financial & Purchase Information
- In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: All financial transactions and subscription payments (e.g., Snaply Plus Monthly or Yearly) are processed directly by Google Play Billing.
- Purchase History: We receive confirmation tokens and transaction identifiers from Google Play to verify active subscriptions, unlock premium features, prevent fraudulent chargebacks, and ensure regulatory compliance. Snaply AI never accesses, collects, or stores your credit card or banking details.
F. Crash Reports & Performance Diagnostics
- We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to monitor application stability, detect unhandled exceptions, and measure runtime performance. This technical data (e.g., operating system version, device model, and crash trace logs) helps our engineering team quickly diagnose bugs. This diagnostic data is not shared with ad networks.
3. Third-Party Partners & Ad Networks
Snaply AI partners with industry-standard, privacy-certified service providers:
4. User Rights, Opt-Outs & Account / Data Deletion
In full compliance with Google Play's Account Deletion and Data Retention policies, users have full control over their personal data:
- In-App Data Clearing: You can clear your locally cached scan results, image history, and favorites at any time directly in the app via Settings → Clear Scan History.
- Account & Cloud Data Deletion: If you created an account (via Google Sign-In or Email) and wish to permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data (including your email address, profile name, unique user ID, and cloud sync records):
- Send an email to mehuljetani123@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Specify the email address associated with your Snaply AI account.
- We will permanently delete your account, authentication credentials, and user records from our Supabase servers within 30 calendar days.
- Data Retention Exceptions: Anonymized crash telemetry and Google Play financial transaction tokens may be retained only for as long as required by financial, tax, or legal compliance and fraud prevention.
- Advertising ID Opt-Out: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID at any time on your Android device by navigating to Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
5. Children's Privacy
Snaply AI is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we take immediate steps to delete such data from our systems.
6. Security & Encryption
We implement rigorous industry-standard administrative and technical security measures. All communications between the Snaply AI app, backend servers, and partner APIs are transmitted over modern encrypted protocols (TLS 1.3/HTTPS).
